Description

Two oblique penholders in a tin box. With flange for Hunt 22 (the nib is included) and Nikko G (nib included).

If you want to write the Spencerian hand, you now have two penholders (a hornbeam wood and a rosewood) at a very good price! You don’t need to adapt the flange to the nib, since those two flanges perfectly match the two types of nib.

The penholders have an ergonomic and comfortable shape, they are made of hard wood and have a new brass flange very nicely finished (now gold plated 24KT). They are not coated with epoxy varnish but with a natural transparent paint (food industry quality) which avoids most of the stains if washed immediately.

The Hunt 22 nib fits perfectly in the flange and you don’t have to make any adjustment. Nibs that are compatible without adjustments are: Hunt 101, Hunt 56, EF Principal, Gillott 404.

The Nikko G flange works well also for the Zebra nibs without adjustments.

If you want to use other small and short nibs, you must pinch the horizontal fold with pliers to secure the nib (as Barbara Calzolari suggests to her students). You must know that these may not reach the centre of the penholder, so they are not ideal for this flange.
